Budapest ranked among the first 50 cultural destinations of tourism // January 29, 2011

According to a listing published by the Sunday Telegraph tourists with a prior interest in culture favor Budapest as one of the most attractive destinations. On the enclosed list of 20 European cities Budapest can be found among Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Rome and Vienna. The cultural diversity of the galleries and museums, the bustling musical scene of the Hungarian capital attracts culture enthusiasts from all around the world. The editors list the following attractions as a must-see: the Museum of Fine Arts, the Opera House, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden (e.g. Elephant House) and the Great Market Hall (Nagycsarnok), the last two particularly for their architectural significance.
