Budapest Pálinka Festival at City Hall Park
The objective of the Budapest Pálinka Festival is to draw attention to the unique values of pálinka and to the fact that it is part of the Hungarian culture, a ‘Hungaricum’.
The event will take place in the Városháza Park behind the church on Deák Square, where the demolished shops used to be. Gourmands can consume drinks worth 500 forints with the 1000 forint entrance ticket. The first 2000 guests will receive a tasting glass with the entrance ticket.
Quality music related to quality pálinka can of course not be missed from the programme. Jazz, pop and folk bands are also present in the festival’s programme. All of the performers agreed to the request with pleasure as they would really like to contribute to the promotion of quality Hungarian pálinka with historical values.

Actors will bring to life everyday scenes from ancient Aquincum.
Lo'Jo - Francophone Festival at Palace of Arts
In 1982, musicians, poets, circus artists and film makers organised themselves into a commune at Angers, alongside the Loire river. The Lo’Jo band, led by Denis Péan emerged as the “tribal” band which by the mid nineteen nineties has become a cult throughout Europe. Their music is equally close to French chansons, gypsy music, cabaret, dub and East and North African musical traditions. But it is not its myriad colours that make it exceptional but rather the unique blend and its charm and heart melting sensitivity.
