The National Philharmonic Orchestra will retreat to the orchestral pit in the days before Christmas, giving the stage over to the artists of the Budapest Puppet Theatre who are now presenting their hugely successful performance of the past decades to a live orchestral accompaniment. This production is the latest in an exciting new collaboration between the theatre and the orchestra. Their first project was Bartók’s The Wooden Prince which was presented in September 2005. The next one in January this year was Stravinsky’s Petrushka, again at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall.
